The Rev. James Cavallero

Pastor Jim began his ministry at St. Paul’s on Sunday, June 30, 2013, after his serving as the Lead Pastor for over six years at First Church in Tamaqua, PA.  His previous experience includes serving in pastoral positions in suburban churches in the Philadelphia and Allentown areas.  He is a graduate of the UMC Licensing School and his educational background also includes a B.S. in Education and an M.E. in Administration. In his ministry, Pastor Jim has specialized in Christian Education for Adults, Eldercare, Community Outreach, and Life Application of the Bible.  Most of his preaching is based upon the teachings of Jesus found within the Gospels and how to apply those teachings to real life situations.  He seeks to help all to enjoy a closer relationship with Jesus Christ as we share God’s love.  His experience, and education provides us with much that God is using for His purpose here at St. Paul’s.  Pastor Jim is married to Jan and has two adult children, two adult step children, and two grandchildren.  He enjoys wood working, and he is also a competition archer.  He and Jan like to travel and they are animal lovers with three dogs.
